Introduction to the Equipment

• The Heweida ultrasonic welding machine operates by converting 50/60 Hz electrical current into ultrasonic energy at frequencies of 15kHz, 20kHz, 30kHz, or 40kHz through a control box (ultrasonic generator). The high-frequency electrical energy is converted into mechanical motion at the same frequency through an ultrasonic vibrating rod, which is then transmitted to the welding mold through a part with adjustable amplitude (the connection between the vibrating rod, screw, and the welding mold).

• The main components of the ultrasonic welding system include the control box, ultrasonic vibrating rod, a set of welding molds (comprising the upper and lower welding molds), and the machine’s outer frame.

Operating Principle of the Heweida Ultrasonic Welding Machine

• When ultrasonic waves act on the contact surface of the plastic, they create tens of thousands of vibrations per second. This high-frequency vibration, when reaching a certain amplitude, transfers ultrasonic energy to the welding area through the vibrating rod. The contact surface between the two welding parts with a high electrical resistance generates high temperatures. Due to the poor thermal conductivity of plastic, it cannot dissipate the heat quickly and retains it in the welding area. With the application of certain pressure, the two types of plastic quickly melt, and after a brief cooling period, they solidify and bond together. When the ultrasonic waves cease, pressure continues for a few seconds for solidification, forming strong molecular chains to achieve the purpose of welding, and the welding strength can be close to that of the raw material.
